REGULAR MEETING AND STUDY SESSION OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF LATHRUP VILLAGE TO BE HELD ON JANUARY 28, 2008 IN THE UPPER LEVEL OF THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING 27400 SOUTHFIELD ROAD, LATHRUP VILLAGE, MICHIGAN, AT 5:30 P.M.
Note: City Council meets at 5:30 for dinner with the Study Session beginning at 6:00 p.m. with the Regular Meeting to follow at 7:00 p.m.
1. Mayor Brock Will Call the Meeting to Order and the City Clerk Will Call the Roll.
2. Mayor Brock Will Invite All Persons In Attendance to Join In the Pledge of Allegiance.
3. The City Council Will Consider the Approval of the Agenda With Necessary Additions or Deletions.
4. The City Council Will Consider the Approval of the Minutes for the Study Session and Regular Meeting Held on December 17, 2007.
5. The City Council Will Review and Consider the Approval of the Disbursement Report.
6. The City Council Invites Those Who Wish to Discuss Issues Not Listed on the Agenda to Come Forward at This Time.
7. The City Council/Zoning Board of Appeals Will Conduct All Required and Properly Noticed and Published Public Hearings Regarding:
Note: All Hearings Commence at 7:00 p.m.
a. Special Assessments for Miscellaneous Purposes.
8. The City Council Will Consider Matters and Requests For Action Entitled “Action Requests.”
a. The City Council Will Consider a Motion to Adopt Resolution #2 For Special Assessments.
b. The City Council Will Consider a Motion to Approve a Contract With SMART for Municipal Credits.
c. The City Council Will Consider a Motion to Adopt a Resolution Pertaining to the Vacating of an Alley at the NW Corner of 12 Mile and Southfield (The rear of the BP Gas Station.)
d. The City Council Will Reconsider a Motion to Re-appoint Members to the DDA.
e. The City Council Will Consider a Motion to Re-appoint and Appoint Members to the Board of Review.
f. The City Council Will Consider a Motion to Approve the Purchase of a New Pickup for the DPS.
g. The City Council Will Consider a Motion to Approve the Bid of Locksmith Inc. for the Installation of a Keyless Entry System for The Municipal Building.
h. The City Council Will Consider a Motion Extend the Contract with Bob Jones as Police Chief.
9. The City Administrator Will Provide Information On Various Items.
a. The City Administrator Provides Periodic Update Reports to the City Council on Items of General Interest. This Item Provides an Opportunity for Questions and/or General Discussion of Items Contained in Said Report.
10. The City Attorney Will Provide Updates on Items of Legal Interest.
11. The City Council Will Address Any Unfinished Business or New Business That May Come Before Them.
12. The Announcement of Correspondence Received Will Be Provided By Mayor Brock.
13. No Further Business Having Come Forward The City Council Will Adjourn the Regular Meeting of October 22, 2007.
Study Session 6:00 p.m. (Precedes the Regular Meeting)
1. The City Council Will Discuss The City Administrators Report.
2. The City Council Will Discuss Other Items Time Permitting
3. No Other Business Having Come Before Them, The City Council Will Adjourn The Study Session Of January 28, 2008.
