COVID-19 Business Resources

COVID-19 Resource Page

There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic - the health of family & friends, educating our children, continuing to work, and keeping our businesses open just to name a few. All of these things are stressful on their own, let alone trying to juggle them all!  Working with our neighboring communities, and regional and state partners, we have put together a list of resources for our small businesses.

Financial Assistance Programs
There are many different financial assistance available at the county, state, and federal levels. Below are those resource links.

**New**
Lovin' Lathrup Village/Oakland Together Restaurant Relief Program due March 12, 2021.
The Oakland Together Restaurant Relief Grant Program for Cities, Villages and Townships (CVTs) is using
$3 million from the county’s General Fund—as approved by Oakland County Executive David Coulter
and the Oakland County Board of Commissioners—to support dine-in restaurants, bars and cafes
impacted by COVID-19 and the related public health orders. Through the support of Oakland County, the
goal is to provide reimbursement funding to restaurants for eligible products and services that aid
Lathrup Village restaurants in safely operating through COVID-19.

Veterans COVID-19 Emergency Financial Relief
To provide emergent financial relief to wartime and peacetime veterans, service members, dependents or survivors for utilities, water bills, waste removal bills, property taxes and food/personal care assistance. The emergent need must be COVID-19 related, and relief must be to meet a necessity of daily life and not for the relief of an inconvenience or the purchase of a want or desire.

The U.S. Small Business Administration and Treasury Department announced on January 8th the reopening of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). PPP has authorized up to $284 billion toward job retention and certain other expenses through March 31, 2021.
