All Lathrup Village homes and businesses are served by a City owned Water and Sewer system. The City of Lathrup Village works in conjunction with the South Oakland Regional Water Authority and the Detroit Water & Sewer Department to provide high quality drinking water and reliable sewer service to our entire community.
When purchasing, selling, or renting a property, residents need to request a final water bill to ensure that the right party is paying for the water service up to the agreed upon date. Final bills are mailed or customers may also come in and pick up the final bill once it has been processed. Requesting Final Water Bills
Water and Sewer Bills
Regular bills for Water and Sewer use are mailed monthly. These bills are calculated based upon the metered usage of water collected by members of our (commonly called "DPS"). While the actual water meter itself is typically located in your basement the readings are collected outside of the home. DPS staff reads and maintains all water meters and will assist residents in locating water leaks in their homes.
