General Election Information
General Elections are held in November ,all Local, School, State and Federal elections are held in the Community Room of the Municipal Building, 27400 Southfield Rd. There are two (2) precincts within the City of Lathrup Village, your voter registration card will indicate which precinct you are in.
The City of Lathrup Village use the M-100 Optical Scan voting system. If you are not familiar with the system, you can view the operation of the system at Michigan Voter Information Center or you can contact the City Clerk.
Election Laws required
that photo ID must be available when voting.

Absentee Voting Information
ABSENTEE
BALLOTS may be obtained from the City Clerk until 2:00 pm, the Saturday
before an election.
Requests must be made "in person" or "in
writing" and include the voter's signature.
Requests for Absentee

Office hours are currently
from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm weekdays, and on the Saturday before an election from
9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
A registered voter may still obtain an Absentee Ballot
on the Monday before the election, between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, provided the Absentee
Ballot is requested "in person" at the Municipal Bldg and voted at the
time of the request.
A registered voter will qualify for an Absentee Ballot
if Any ONE of the following apply:
The voter is 60 years of age or older.
The voter is unable to vote without
assistance at the polls.
The voter expects to be absent from his or her
city or township of residence for the entire time the polls are open.
The
voter is in jail awaiting arraignment or trial.
The voter has been appointed
to work as an election inspector in a precinct outside of his or her precinct
of residence.
The voter is unable to attend the polls due to his or her
religious beliefs.
