Permits

Building, electrical, plumbing, and heating permits are required prior to the commencement of any work.
In most cases, if you have a contractor doing the work, this can be done by the contractor through the Clerk’s office.
If you have a contractor doing work for you, please be sure to ask if they have obtained the necessary permits.
This will help avoid any problems with the City, and will guarantee that City inspections are conducted to insure the work being done is pursuant to code requirements.
