The office hours for general administrative services
are
8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The general
phone number is (248) 557-2600. The general administrative
offices has a telephone system that is based on an automated
attendant program. When you first call in you will hear an
opening welcome message and then be allowed to enter the extension
number of the Department or employee you wish to speak with.
If you do not know the extension number hold on and an employee
will pick up and help direct your call to the proper employee.
This system also contains a voice mail option to insure that
you can leave a message in case you are unable to reach the
desired department or employee. The voice mail system is in
operation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so that can leave
a message at any time, if you so desire.

Department
of Public Services
The Department of Public Services
has the responsibility for the operation, maintenance, and
overall supervision of streets, water, storm and sanitary
sewer, and park maintenance. We currently have a staff of
seven full time employees that provide all of our public
services. The Department Head is Jeff Mueller and he is
responsible for the overall coordination of department activities.

Municipal TV/Broadband Coordinator
Village Cable 17, is the City's Cable TV outlet. It
carries TV programs created by the Cable TV Dept. Regular
local programs include: cablecasts of Regular City Council
Meetings; "In-Brief" (a quick review of the most
recent meeting of Council); and "Lathrup Village Update,"
a video magazine that includes City related information and
previews of upcoming City activities, and reviews of past
City events. In addition, special programming is occasionally
undertaken, such as: the Annual Recreation Dept. Dance Recital;
Black History Month presentations; Town Hall Meetings and
other important or valuable community events and speakers.
Between programs, an electronic Community Bulletin Board is
displayed. It includes City and Community announcements and
other useful information. Residents and organizations are
invited to add their messages to the mix including Lost
& Found announcements. For maximum exposure of a Community
Bulletin Board announcement it should be submitted 4 weeks
in advance.
