Fire Flow Testing

LATHRUP VILLAGE FIRE FLOW TESTING (3/26 & 3/27)

The Southfield Fire Department will be conducting fire flow tests on March 26th and 27th (weather permitting).

Testing will be performed at the following locations:
  • March 26th: Lincoln east of Lathrup Blvd & west of Arrowhead (at the dead end)
  • March 27th: San Diego / Bloomfield intersection, Glenwood / Bloomfield intersection, & Wiltshire / Sunset intersection
Residents may encounter brown water due to the flushing of the water main. If you are experiencing this problem, turn on the COLD water faucet at the lowest level of your home (nearest the water meter) and let the COLD water run for no more than 10 minutes. This should clean out the residue in your service line, and clear the problem.
