In compliance with Michigan Penal Code Section 750.239a, a 30-day notice shall be given following all legally confiscated firearms to be disposed of by the Lathrup Village Police Department.

The Lathrup Village Police Department shall allow the owner of the firearm to claim the firearm within these 30 days if he or she is authorized to possess the firearm.
