Police Job Opportunities

The minimum requirements to apply for the position of Police Officer with the Lathrup Village Police Department are:

  • An associate's degree (bachelor's degree preferred)

  • must be certified or certifiable as a police officer by MCOLES

  • must be a U.S. citizen

  • must be 21 years of age or older at the time of employment

  • possess a valid state driver's license

  • no felony convictions and/or disqualifying criminal history

  • fluent in English both in written and spoken

  • good moral character
