COMMUNITY ROOM – ROOF REPLACEMENT
Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Lathrup Village, Michigan, as owner, until 2:00 PM (EST), on January 21, 2026, at the Office of the City Clerk, 27400 Southfield Road, Lathrup Village, MI 48076, at which time said proposals will be opened and read.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for January 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM (EST), at 27400 Southfield Road, Lathrup Village, MI 48076.
The city is working with Detroit Roofing Inspection Service, which has prepared roof replacement specifications for this project. These documents will be available at the Prebid meeting without a charge. Attendance at the pre-bid is mandatory for any contractor's bid to be considered. This will be a complete removal and replacement of all old roofing and replacement with a fully adhered EPDM membrane; no alternatives will be accepted.
The awarded contractor will need to provide a manufacturer's labor and material warranty for a period of no less than 10 years, and the approved systems are Elevate or Carlisle only. No substitutions will be considered.
No bidder may withdraw its proposal within ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, any part of the same, to waive any irregularities, and to make the award that is in the best interest of the City of Lathrup Village.

RAINBOW CIRCLE IMPROVEMENTS
Sealed Proposals for the resurfacing and reconstruction of residential streets located in the City of Lathrup Village will be received at the City Clerk's office of the City of Lathrup Village, 27400 Southfield Road, Lathrup Village, Michigan, 48076, until 2:00 P.M., local time, Thursday, January 29, 2026 at which time the bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud.
The work primarily consists of:
0.42 mile of HMA cold milling and resurfacing and 0.25 miles of full depth concrete pavement removal and asphalt reconstruction including driveway removal and replacement, drainage structure, culverts, ditch cleanout and lawn restoration.
The City of Lathrup Village encourages bids from ALL contractors including Small, Emerging Small, Women, Minority, Disadvantaged, Veteran, Vietnam Veteran, Disabled Veteran, 8(a), and HUBZone businesses.
Plans and specifications will be available on the Michigan Inter-Governmental Trade Network (MITN). A copy of the plans and specification will be available for review at the City Clerk’s office in the Municipal Building located at 27400 Southfield Road, Lathrup Village, MI 48076.
Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided by the Owner and shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, payable to the City of Lathrup Village for an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total base bid price.
The accepted bidder shall be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond, and Labor and Material Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price, and Maintenance and Guarantee Bond of 50% for two years of the Final Contract Price. The cost of the bonds will be paid by the accepted bidder.
Each bidder acknowledges the requirement for compliance with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act, Act 517 of 2012
Each bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner, Architect/Engineer, and their respective Employees, arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation, or recommendation of any bid.
The City of Lathrup Village reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, and to waive any informalities, therein when such waiver is in the interest of the City of Lathrup Village, and to award the contract to other than the low bidder.
Bids shall remain firm for a period of ninety (90) days.
