As of January 2010, the City of Lathrup Village requires that all Vacant/Abandoned Properties be registered with the Code Enforcement Department.  Any trustees/beneficiaries or other responsible party must be listed in the registration as well as a property manager.  

The completed Application Form must be returned via fax, mail, or email within 30 days of vacancy, or penalty charges will apply. 

The City works to maintain an active list of vacant or abandoned properties in Lathrup Village. If you know of a vacant or abandoned home in your area please report it to Code Enforcement as soon as possible at (248) 557-2600.

Vacant or abandoned buildings must be secured against unauthorized entry. If you notice suspicious activity in or around a vacant or abandoned home please notify the Police Department right away at (248) 557-3600 or 9-1-1 after regular business hours.
