From LVPD: The Lathrup Village Police Department will be assisting with a 5k this coming Saturday, 8/29/2026, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Michigan First Credit Union is hosting the event and partnering with the Don't Engage in Road Rage organization. The route takes the participants along Evergreen Rd to Twelve Mile, then back south through the neighborhood. Participants are expected to stay off the main roads for their safety.
Please expect heavier-than-usual pedestrian traffic in the neighborhood, so please be patient. There will be volunteers along the route cheering people on and making sure they're on the correct path. Along with LVPD, the Michigan State Police and Southfield Fire will also be present.
