City of Lathrup Village Announces Newly Elected Mayor and Mayor Pro-Tem
Lathrup Village, MI – November 25, 2025 – The City of Lathrup Village is pleased to announce the election of Bruce Kantor as the new Mayor and Mykale Garrett as the newly elected Mayor Pro-Tem following a vote of confidence from their fellow Councilmembers during the November 24, 2025, City Council Regular Meeting.
Mayor Bruce Kantor brings a strong commitment to community service, strategic leadership, and fostering collaboration across the city. His years of involvement in civic initiatives and dedication to supporting residents will guide Lathrup Village through its next chapter of growth and innovation.
Mayor Pro-Tem Mykale Garrett has demonstrated exceptional leadership on City Council, advancing key initiatives focused on public safety, infrastructure, and community engagement. In her new role, she will support the Mayor and help lead the City Council in driving forward the priorities of Lathrup Village.
“The City is fortunate to have leaders who are deeply invested in our community’s success,” said City Administrator Greene. “We look forward to working alongside Mayor Kantor and Mayor Pro-Tem Garrett as they continue serving the residents of Lathrup Village with integrity, vision, and dedication.”
