Lathrup Village, MI — The Lathrup Village Parks & Recreation Committee is proud to announce a partnership with the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) to bring the internationally recognized Inside|Out program back to the community during the summer of 2026.
Inside|Out is the DIA’s signature outdoor art exhibition program, featuring high-quality reproductions of masterpieces from the museum’s collection displayed in public spaces. The program is designed to make art accessible to everyone, transforming streetscapes, parks, and gathering places into open-air galleries.
Through this partnership, Lathrup Village residents and visitors will have the opportunity to experience world-class art in a familiar, everyday setting—encouraging exploration, conversation, and community pride.
“This partnership with the DIA reflects our ongoing commitment to enriching the cultural life of Lathrup Village,” said Mike Greene - City Administrator. “Inside|Out brings art directly into our neighborhoods, creating shared experiences that are accessible, engaging, and inspiring for residents of all ages.”
The Inside|Out exhibition will be installed throughout select locations near City Hall during the summer of 2026. Additional details, including artwork selections, installation sites, and community programming, will be announced closer to the exhibition date.
The City looks forward to collaborating with the DIA, local partners, and residents to ensure a successful and meaningful Inside|Out experience that highlights Lathrup Village’s unique character and commitment to the arts.
