Ron Lammers - Headshot

LATHRUP VILLAGE, MI – The City of Lathrup Village is pleased to announce the appointment of Ron Lammers as the City's new Part-Time Code Enforcement Officer.

Lammers brings decades of municipal public safety and code enforcement experience to the position. Most recently, he has served as a Code Enforcement Officer with the Wyandotte Police Department, where he conducts property inspections, investigates ordinance violations, works with property owners to achieve compliance, and represents the department in court proceedings.

Before joining Wyandotte, Lammers served the City of Riverview for more than 17 years, including nearly six years as Fire Chief. Throughout his career, he has overseen fire and EMS operations, managed departmental budgets, led personnel, conducted fire inspections and investigations, and enforced municipal codes and ordinances. His extensive background in local government and commitment to public service make him a valuable addition to the Lathrup Village team.

"We are excited to welcome Ron to Lathrup Village," said City Administrator Mike Greene. "His extensive experience in code enforcement and municipal operations, along with his practical approach to working with residents, will help us continue to protect property values, enhance neighborhood quality, and ensure our community remains a safe and attractive place to live."

As Part-Time Code Enforcement Officer, Lammers will be responsible for enforcing the City's property maintenance, zoning, and nuisance ordinances. He will conduct inspections, respond to resident complaints, educate property owners on code requirements, and work collaboratively with residents to achieve voluntary compliance whenever possible.

"I look forward to serving the residents of Lathrup Village," said Lammers. "Strong neighborhoods are built through communication, fairness, and consistent enforcement. I'm excited to work with the community to help maintain the high standards that make Lathrup Village such a desirable place to live."

Ron is expected to begin in early July, and the City looks forward to the experience, professionalism, and dedication he brings to the role.
