Administering an election requires significant planning, coordination, and dedication. The City recognizes and thanks the Clerk's Office, election inspectors, and everyone who contributed their time and effort to ensuring residents had a positive voting experience and that the election process was conducted efficiently and professionally.
The City would also like to congratulate Mayor Pro-Tem Garrett on her election victory and upcoming transition to serving as the next State Representative for Michigan's 18th District. We thank her for her service and commitment to the Lathrup Village community and wish her continued success as she takes on this new role representing residents at the state level.
With Mayor Pro-Tem Garrett's transition to the State Legislature, the City will soon begin the process of seeking an interested and qualified member of the public to fill the vacant City Council seat. Additional information regarding the application and appointment process will be shared with residents in the coming weeks.
Finally, the City extends its appreciation to voters for supporting the Lathrup Village Library Millage. This support helps ensure the City can continue providing residents with access to library services and resources that contribute to the educational, cultural, and community well-being of Lathrup Village.
