🚫🦌 PSA: Please Do Not Feed Deer Within City Limits
While deer may seem friendly and harmless, feeding them can create serious problems for both residents and wildlife. Feeding deer encourages them to gather near homes and roads, increases the risk of vehicle accidents, spreads disease, and can lead to aggressive behavior toward people and pets.
Artificial feeding also disrupts their natural foraging habits and can damage neighborhood landscaping and vegetation.
For the safety of our community and the health of local wildlife, please do not place food out for deer within City limits.
Thank you for helping keep our neighborhoods safe and our wildlife wild.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation while these improvements are completed.

For the safety and comfort of everyone in our community, including pets, dogs must remain on a leash while in public spaces unless they are in a designated off-leash area.
City ordinance requires that dogs in parks, streets, sidewalks, and other public places be securely restrained by a leash and supervised by a responsible person. Dogs must also be properly immunized against rabies.
Keeping dogs leashed helps prevent accidents, protects wildlife, and ensures that all residents can enjoy our shared public spaces safely.
Thank you for being a responsible pet owner and helping keep our community safe and welcoming for everyone! 🐶

Saw cutting on Rainbow Circle is scheduled to begin today, with underground work planned for later this week (pending weather). If you are not a Rainbow Circle resident, please avoid the area to limit impact on the workers.
The Lathrup Village Tree Committee is seeking resident and property owner input to help guide the City's urban forest program. Our goal is to maintain a sustainable urban forest within our City.
In doing so, we invite all residents to fill out the survey to help us identify the top priorities of the community as we work to apply for a Michigan DNR community forestry grant.
This survey will better help the Tree Committee understand the current relationship between residents and our urban forest. The survey will also identify priorities for future tree-related projects that will better serve our community.
